Our IPL treatment can effectively address:
Our BroadBand Light technology leverages the effectiveness of pulsed light to yield superior outcomes. By choosing the right wavelength or filter, we can address various skin issues that result from aging and sun exposure. The BBL’s light energy gently warms the skin’s upper layers, returning them to their original condition. Furthermore, photothermal energy focuses on and eradicates numerous fine vessels that lead to redness, as well as the undesired melanin that causes pigmented spots.
Our IPL treatment can be applied to any area of your body. The most commonly treated areas are those most exposed to sunlight, including the face, neck, back of the hands, chest, arms, and shoulders. For optimal results, we recommend 3-5 photofacial rejuvenation treatments, each three weeks apart, depending on the severity of the skin damage. After the initial series, maintenance sessions are recommended.

Faq's

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a form of light therapy used to address different skin issues. Its operation is based on the emission of a spectrum of lightwaves that are specifically calibrated and aimed at hemoglobin (the red blood cells present in blood vessels) or melanin (the brown pigment found in freckles and age spots). The beam of light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by either hemoglobin or melanin, damaging the vessel wall or breaking up the melanin pigment. Subsequently, the body absorbs these minuscule vessels and the melanin pigment, making them less noticeable.
Before your IPL treatment, avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks. If you have recently tanned, including tanning products and spray tans, you should wait until the tan fades completely before undergoing treatment. This is because the treatment targets pigment; a tan could result in uneven results. Also, some medications or supplements may increase photosensitivity. Discuss these with your provider before treatment.
The number of treatments required depends on your skin’s condition and your goals. However, most patients receive 3-5 treatments about one month apart. Your provider can give you a more specific treatment plan during your consultation.
During the treatment, you’ll feel a warm sensation, followed by a cooling sensation. The treatment is generally well-tolerated, but discomfort can be compared to a rubber band snapping against flesh.
After your IPL treatment, avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to protect your skin from sun damage. Your skin will be photo-sensitive after the treatment, so it’s essential to protect it by staying out of direct sunlight and wearing an SPF. You may also notice that skin imperfections darken for a few days following treatment before they flake off.
Side effects from IPL are rare but could include blistering, changes in skin pigmentation, or infection. Most people experience mild redness and swelling, like a sunburn, for a few days after the procedure. If you notice any unusual side effects, speak with your provider immediately.
